Balance

Burning the candle at both ends.

I’m losing it…balance, that is!  There’s a lot to be said for the singularity of truth, which is why I find cliches so amusing. “All work and no play…”  I put in a good 13 hours in the studio yesterday and subsequently dreamed of causing someone bodily harm last night.  Oops.  Apparently, ‘they’ are the people responsible for these cliches, for as they say, “No one’s perfect!”, right?  My shadow side has been pushing to the fore the past few days.  I had my help quit early today and I’m sure I was close to throwing them out bodily as well.  I tend to get a bit narky when I’m tired.  I’ve just now made myself a pot of coffee except that I didn’t put the actual pot under the filter. I hope my kitchen floor was thirsty!  It’s kind of difficult to chill out when clients want their ‘product’ ASAP, rush order, before Christmas, like yesterday, etc.  But as they say again, “This too shall pass” and “Every cloud has a silver lining.”

The silver lining bit: Inspiration is always lurking around the corner. This week I was ‘friend-ed’ on the ubiquitous Facebook by visionary artist Professor Philip Rubinov Jacobson.   There is a lot to read and see here, if you have a few moments to spare.

“Phil Jacobson is an artist and mystic of rare intelligence…ever reminding us that creativity and spirituality are One.”    Alex Grey Artist and Author

Intuitus Mysticus

Equally inspiring is the work of the lovely Madeline Von Foerster who was a student of Jacobson’s.
Remember, “Tis the season!” Try and stay calm.
